Hospital Mexico Americano is a Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospital, and the only hospital in Guadalajara to achieve this prestigious distinction. The Joint Commission International is the international division of the Joint Commission Resources, based in Oak
Brook, Illinois, and is the same organization that accredits hospitals in the United States. JCI provides accreditation for hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, clinical laboratories, care continuum services, medical transport organizations, and primary care services, as well as certification for disease or condition specific care.

HMA is committed to delivering quality care. All of the hospital’s physicians and surgeonsare licensed and certified, they are all required to undergo continuing medical education. Joint Commission International accreditation ensures that primary source verification has been
conducted on all HMA physicians, which means their credentials have been checked and verified.

Hospital Mexico Americano follows best practices for clinical quality and patient safety. Our operating theaters, laboratory, rooms, food preparation and processes are routinely inspected by
national and international health care regulatory bodies to ensure Hospital Mexico Americano is meeting not only the best national standards but the best international standards too.

Hospital Mexico Americano is only one of eight hospitals in Mexico that is accredited by the
Joint Commission International (JCI), ISO 9001:2008 certified and approved by the Mexican Department of Health. The hospital’s laboratory is certified by the College of American Pathologists. HMA is also a selected health care provider for over 50 different national and international insurers and employers, including household names like MetLife, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Mercer.
